Beloved,
As we embrace this precious and beautiful moment let us do so without thinking of the past or rushing into the future, as the mind desires. Let us breathe in the essence of now and enjoy all it has to offer. In Truth all we have is Now and to waste it by allowing the mind to run wild of anything else robs us of such beauty. As I look out at the bougainvillea vines in my backyard I’m caught up in the beauty that could only come from God. As the humming bird’s wings move with a swiftness as it drinks the nectar I’m filled with a peace that surpasses all understanding. In my present reading, a book by Eckhart Tolle called “The Power of Now”, which really allows me to focus more on MINDING my own MIND and remaining present in the Presence of the Divine, I embrace with joy that which was spoken by Jesus the Christ as it has been written:
(Matthew 6:26-30 NLT)-“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?”
Such a powerful reminder of the importance of living, abiding and embracing the Now without robbing ourselves. Let us breathe in and meditate upon that which is true, good and everlasting knowing that God has us in every way.
Namaste,
