I am giving thanks and praise for the gift of life today. We have been challenged to “Be still and know” literally as well as to be respectful of our neighbor while in this pandemic. As New York showed us the proper way of minimizing the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus which does not have a vaccine nor a cure, not every state followed suit. Although the evidence is clear of how this disease spread, for some the need to be entertained by going out to bars and restaurants seem to be more important. I am reminded that even with protesting New York’s numbers continued to decline. Scripture reminds us that “the people of God perish from the lack of knowledge”and in many cases at this present time it appears from the lack of heeding knowledge, that is continually being publicized for us. Let us all take a good look at the gift of LIFE we have been given today and give thanks with a grateful heart.
Mahatma Gandhi July 7, 1927:
“We are living in the midst of death trying to grope our way to Truth. Perhaps it is as well that we beset with danger at every point in our life, for, in spite of our knowledge of the danger and of our precarious existence, our indifference to the source of all life is excelled only by our amazing arrogance.”
And So It Is,
