It is written in Matthew 5:10 – “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
We often relate this scripture to those who have been persecuted, murdered and executed because of their faith, however it is for anyone who will not bend to the social pressures of the world. Anyone who refuses to jump on a band wagon of hatred and witch hunts of another being in the name of religion is one who stands in righteousness with Christ Consciousness of unconditional love. Righteousness has nothing to do with what we look like on the outside for the masses to see, rather has everything to do with our true actions words and deeds. It is written in Discourse 26 of The Second Coming of Christ “The righteous devotee pursues that which is beneficial for him in the highest sense. One who relinquishes the desultory ways of the world and cheerfully stands the scorn of shortsighted friends for his idealism demonstrates that he is fit for the unending bliss of God.”
That is a powerful statement that has caused a stirring within my soul and a joy in my heart! I am so very grateful for Spirit’s love and direction in our lives.
