Beloved,
As this year is wrapping up I continue to think about all of the powerful and and brave women who paved the way for us today. Powerful and brave women like my beautiful mother and the other women of Fashionette Beauty Bar In Gary, Indiana. Often times this place was a shelter for battered women, before shelters were ever recognized. A place of safety where any woman coming in to get their hair done for the week could actually feel safe, speak whatever was on their mind and become instantly supported. Many of them would stay for hours until solutions to their problems were solved, and new directions in life were at hand. It was not only a place of my own employment but my safe place as one who suffered abuse. It was There I learned how to become the victor instead of remaining the victim. The power of these women taught me how not to fight fire with fire, or continue with a blow for blow battle. The power to love yourself, love others, love and trust in the Creator as well as letting go of any and everything that no longer serves me is why I am alive today and living as scriptures says, more abundantly. Thank
Michael Bernard Beckwith:
Quote from his book Spiritual Liberation.
“Prosperity is a livelihood focus, healing the body is a health focus, and relationship is a love focus. By aligning ourselves with the laws that govern these aspects of our humanity, our life structures stabilize and we are free to move into deeper dimensions of our being. With our energies no longer entirely focused on feeding, clothing and housing, we are free to enter the real work to discover and release what the poet Robert Browning called our “Inner Splendor”.”
Peace Love and Blessings,
