Encouraging Words For The Soul – Tuesday September 15, 2020!

September 15, 2020 by Brenda

Beloved,

We continue to thrive in challenging times. The key word here is THRIVE despite fires, hurricanes, Coronavirus, politics and the like, In the midst of it all there have been wonderful results from tragedies such as that of Breonna Taylor’s mom winning the lawsuit against the brutal killing of her daughter as well as the change of laws in the police department in Louisville, Kentucky. Progress is happening, positive change is happening and this reminds us that doors of inequality and injustice are being broken down. Today although the air quality outside for many of us is not good we can still take a deep breath inside, exhale slowly and know that our voices and actions are being heard. Concentrating on the positive and drowning out the loud noises of negativity keeps us moving forward and not backwards. Let us continue to pray for all in need whether a natural disaster or that of injustice, inequality and hatred.

I am reminded of the words once again from Mahatma Gandhi that encourages my soul in the midst of it all.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it–always.”

Peace and Blessings,

Brenda D. Cooper
