Beloved, Solomon goes into great lengths describing the acts and actions of idolatry. May each of us look within to make sure we haven’t created idols that could destroy our true selves in this day. May the Wisdom of God overshadow us and keep our devotion pure to the one who created us.
God Bless You,
Apostle Brenda D. Cooper
The worship of idols, whose names are too heinous to mention, is the cause and end of every evil. In the names of these idols, people indulge themselves to the point of insanity, pass off lies as prophecies, live dishonest lives, and break promises without remorse. And since the gods they take oaths upon are lifeless, they expect no retribution when they perjury themselves. But they will be charged on two counts:
Because they think little of God in worshipping idols, and because they think even less of what is sacred in deliberately perjuring themselves. In the end, what always overtakes those who are guilty is not the power of the things by which they swear, but rather the retribution that sinners receive.
