Dear Sisters and Brothers,
In the world today, we have everything at our access and for the most part we still feel inadequate, lonely, anxious, and needing more. Mostly we are looking for something to make us feel complete or at best content, but very few have ventured out to find within themselves ” A Passion For God’s Presence”!
Just to mention a few: I have a great admiration for the Muslim who are devoted enough to Allah (God) to pray 5 times a day. It tells me that although they believe in Muhammad their “Passion for God’s Presence is greater”!
I have a great admiration for the Jews who are devoted to wearing the scriptures on their foreheads, go to the wailing wall to pray rocking back and forth. It shows me that their devotion to the scriptures breathes obedience yet their “Passion For God’s Presence is greater”!
In our Western Society we have many distractions but I admire the Believer who desires to know God greater, by their obedience they show up for mid-week Bible studies and Prayer Meetings. This tells me more than anything that their “Passion For God’s Presence is greater” than the distractions of the world.
None of these groups desire a passion for works, or titles, none desire a passion to be seen for what they do for the church, mosque, or temple; but all demonstrate within the world around them a “Passion For God’s Presence”!
Psalm 27 can move a persons heart directly to the Throne Room of Grace without the sound of an instrument.
(Psalm 27:4 NKJV)–One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.
Psalm 34 reminds us that God’s presence is forever with His people.
Psalm 46 and 140:12-13 reminds us of God being our very present help in time of trouble.
In God’s Presence there is Peace
In God’s Presence there is Joy
In God’s Presence there is Assurance without evidence.
With Great Passion may you continue to Walk in The Presence of God!
God Bless All Nations, All Peoples, All Tribes, and All Walks of Life,
Apostle Brenda D. Cooper
